LIGHT SNOW, PATCHY FREEZING DRIZZLE, RAIN MAY CAUSE SLICK AND ICY SPOTS ON ROADS, BRIDGES, OVERPASSES UNTREATED SURFACES

Ice Surfaces

A COLD FRONT AND WEAK AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WORKING ACROSS OHIO WILL BRING A WINTRY MIX OF PRECIPITATION TO ATHENS COUNTY THIS MORNING AND INTO THIS AFTERNOON. MOST OF THE PRECIPITATION WILL FALL AS SNOW. HOWEVER, AREAS OF LIGHT FREEZING DRIZZLE AND SPOTTY FREEZING RAIN MAY FALL, ESPECIALLY IN ATHENS COUNTY.

EXPECT SLIPPERY CONDITIONS ON UNTREATED SURFACES, ESPECIALLY IN AREAS OF ANY FREEZING DRIZZLE OR RAIN. THOSE TRAVELING THIS MORNING SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR POTENTIAL SLICK AND ICY SPOTS ON ROADS, ALONG WITH BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES. SLOW DOWN AND ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION.
