Athens, Ohio – Search Operation for man missing in the Hocking River stopped for night, search to resume Monday Morning

The Athens Fire Department was stopped search operations for the day after working since 8:00AM to locate a missing man in the Hocking River.  Search operations will resume Monday, June 25th at 8:00 AM.  Search crews have been searching for the missing man since approximately 8:00 PM, Saturday June 23, 2018 when it was reported he jumped into the Hocking River near the Whites Mill at 2 Whites Mill Drive in the City of Athens.  The missing person is described as a 29-year-old white male, wearing black shorts and no shirt or shoes.
